Black day in Indian History-Babri Mosque Demolition | News & Announcements | Forum

Sixth December 1992 is a horrific day in the history of India. On this very day an old Muslim religious structure Babri mosque was demolished by Hindu fanatics due to the blind faith that the structure happens to be the birth place of Lord Ram. This structure was located in Uttar Pradesh state in India. I fail to understand how can they demolish a structure which is believed to be the birth place of their God. It doesn’t make sense to any right thinking Hindu. Does it not amount to cutting the branch of a tree on which we stand?

The demolition of Babri mosque sent shock waves among Muslim masses all over the globe especially those in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh and also among right thinking Hindus in the rest of the world and in India even. This particular sinister design has made the lives of millions of Indians miserable. The government of Pakistan capitalized on this particular tragic incident. Pakistan has brainwashed Muslim youth for waging jihad against India by using the Muslim hatred speeches by the Hindu fanatics especially Bal Thackeray. Unfortunately Bal Thackeray failed miserably to understand this ploy. People should not fall prey to religiously fanatic political parties in their own interest.

The unbearable pain suffered by the Indians has begun with the deadly massacre of the people in Mumbai on 12^th March 1993 with a series of bomb blasts and occurrence of communal riots immediately after 6^th December 1992. There have been numerous bomb blasts by Islamic fundamentalists in India initiated by Pakistan in the name of jihad and aided by Indian Muslim fanatics. Thousands of precious lives are lost and trillions of dollars worth property is damaged and the day to day business is drastically affected time and again. The affected families have to bear the burden of the shock forever. The cumulative damage done to India is beyond one’s imagination. The inept Government of India and Hindu fundamental parties don’t seem to understand the suffering of the people. Hindu fanatics don’t feel the shame at all. They shed crocodile tears shamelessly whenever such horrible incident occurs.

I don’t think the Hindu and Muslim fanatics have ever realized the blunder committed by them in the name of religion. They have grossly misunderstood their religion by wrongly interpreting it. The only difference between Islamic fundamentalists and Hindu fanatics is that there are no Hindu suicide bombers and they don’t resort to the mass killing of the other caste groups in their religion as is the case with Islamic fundamentalists. 

Religious  hatred takes us no where. Muslims in general get carried away by one word ' Jihad'. They interpret it wrongly resulting in the destruction everywhere. It doesn't mean killing the non believers of Islamic faith. It means killing six deadly qualities within himself or herself. They are Lust, Anger, Greed, Desire, Ego and Jealousy.  A person becomes purified if he/ she conquers these evil qualities within a person.

There are many problems that require immediate attention. We can solve them only with unity and tolerance. I appeal to all religious groups to appreciate the thinking of others and not become a tool in the hands of politicians and religious leaders who know nothing about the religion. Then only there can be anything called the real progress of a Nation.
